1. What did you do in 2008 that you'd never done before?
Played with a professional orchestra, played timpani on Gustav Holst's entire "Planets" suite, graduated college, got a full-time job!, moved into an apartment, and served as musical director for the Schenectady Light Opera Company.
2. Did you keep your new years' resolution, and will you make more for next year?
Can't even remember the one I made last year...

Zeus and Jennie got hitched....

Thankfully, no. Though when LeRoi Moore from DMB passed on this summer, it hit me surprisingly hard.

The U.S. of A.
6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?
Every one of my students to be in band because he/she WANTS to be there.

March 8th: CYT auditions for "Footloose!"
March 15th: Performances with the Orchestra of Northern New York
March 20th: Final Percussion Ensemble Concert
April 28th: Half Hour Recital
May 18th: Graduation
June 30th: First day of Summer Stages AND CYT!
July 22nd: Offered the band director position in Germantown!
August 6th: Footloose Opening Night!
September 16th: Two-Year with Gen!
November 8th: The Almighty Honda hit 150,000 miles!
December 5th: Seussical opening night!
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Graduation and securing my job.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Forgetting to call the power company and having my power shut off two days ago....

nah, thankfully

my MacBook Pro

Honestly, my parents. They're absolute heros.

The music teachers that preceded Dave and me at Germantown

I don't even know...perhaps "Turn, turn, Turn" by the Byrds.

I don't HATE anyone, but I definitely have a far lower tolerance of bullshit than I've had in my entire life.

Books....what????
27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
That, at times, I prefer teaching woodwind and brass lesson to percussion lessons. Never thought that day would come.

Turned 22, and taught little kids how to play music.

Being able to more readily relax

Whatever's clean and doesn't look like shit.

Many things.....Gen, my family, music

One that currently is is do we bail out the American carmakers? I honestly don't know.
