To me, that says that you "worship the ground your Dad walks on", and you see him as regal. I'm the same with my Dad, and a few years back, when I lived on the other side of the country, as I was trying to get to sleep, I heard him call my name. It was so vivid that I had to phone him to make sure he was ok. Of course, he was sleeping because they were 3 hours in front of us and it was 1am our time! He wasn't impressed, but I got the peace of mind that I needed..

many times when we dream about death it's sort of like getting the death card in tarot. it doesn't mean death at all, it means a change or rebirth. maybe your dad is getting ready to get a new job?

Yes, it must be a rebirth of some sort.
He is a local Washington artist, so maybe he sells a painting for a high price...
