2 thing I've learned at school this year

Dec 20, 2005 13:23

1. A girl you have just met will open up to you much more once she knows you have a girlfriend. (ergo, it is much easier to get a girlfriend when you already have one)

2. Any girl who is interested in you will automatically assume that any girl you talk to in front of her is your girlfriend.

Prove me wrong America, prove me wrong!

You're female, tell me why that is.

I really can't say. I'm not like most feamles.
For most girls, it's competition with the prettier girls. Something like, the girl with the most guys is the queen bee. I never cared for things like that.

That totally works the same for single girls and gay guys: if the guy isn't available/interested, she doesn't have to play the crazy mating game. :)

In which she evaluates the he as a potential boyfriend. If he is single, then the various hazily-defined dating protocols are followed.

If he's attached/gay, then future sex isn't really a possibility, and he can be "friend". He's safe to talk to because she's not constantly worried if the conversation is a ploy to get into her pants. It's the difference between being able to have a nice drink in a bar and having to spend the evening telling horny boys to go away.

Or something. I'm pretty sure that popular media constructions of dating protocols has something to do with it. Behavioural cues from reality shows make an already confusing situation entirely unparseable. :)

I don't like this game. I'm glad I don't play it.

I'm back this thursday evening. As for hanging out, I'm not sure how much free time I'm going to have, as I have to be back in Kitchener on January 2nd.
