So here I am in Virginia with my absolutely amazing boyfriend. I guess I didn't realize how great things would be once he was home but I don't know if I've been happier. I mean don't get me wrong, I've had great times with great friends but this is completely different. I'm so lucky to have someone like him. He's smart and sweet and just so caring

y'know, speaking from my long term experience here.... i had to learn (very early on), that the good is nowhere near as good without the bad to give it perspective. it's natural for couples to disagree, to have moments where you just can't stand the sight of each other, or even to fight. the key is in how you learn to communicate and how you work through it. rebecca and i put a lot of work into communicating well, and so when we do have the occasional argument (which now, after seven years), are much milder and are fewer and farther between, we've gained the tools to work through it easily.

i know i wouldn't trade in being loved and loving just to save myself from a few moments of pain every now and then.
