I was supposed to take our dog out for a walk this afternoon. But it looked like it was going to rain (and there was thunder) so I decided to cancel my plans... T_T But it didn't rain! WTF ( Read more... )

Hrmm...It threatened to rain all day here yesterday, but not one single drop. GRrr...and we need the rain. We have these crazy flying love bugs. (if you don't know what they are ask...it's amusing...and I'll be more than happy to share). But anyway, the rain gets rid of them. Plus, it's Florida in the summer. It should be rainning everyday. I miss it.

Walks are good. I could use one right now. *looks around at crowded library*. Alas, why must real life always interfere with my plans.

*brings a bird in to sing w/the crickets?*

Okay, shoot me I'm in a really odd mood. ^^

Love bugs? What are those? O_O Wah... We just have a bunch of mosquitoes and flies over here. -.-;;

I think I'd rather be in a library... I haven't been to a real one (I don't think school libraries count, their fiction collections are limited ._.) in years. They don't have public libraries in the Philippines. Even if they did, it's not even open to the public. @_@ And most Filipinos don't really like reading... :x I know a bunch of people who have never read a novel before in their life (except for required reading in school). Ehh. Sad. T_T

Yes, Love bugs. They are little black bugs with orange tips on their wings that mate while flying. So yes, there are thousands of bugs flying around having sex. It's just odd. They are splattered all over my car >_< Can you imagine...flying sex? >_<

We have a wonderful library system. I work in one of the small libraries in my city. It's an inner city library and a little crazy. People don't like to read in the US either. Which is why everyone was crowded around the computers in the library. The statistics are quite frightening. 70% of high school students can't read at grade level. I actually taught reading last year to 15 & 16 year olds, the average reading level was that of a 8 or 9 year old.

My life w/o reading and books would be very sad. Reading and music are my two passions in life.
