I'm not in much of a position to defend or condemn the president, since I haven't been paying attention to politics--a by product of not living there, I suppose. I do find it very interesting though that on both sides, you have a lot of people that dislike him.

I also find it very interesting that the parties are becoming more and more polarized, and it seems to someone like me that it is for no other reason than an irrational desire to see the other side lose. I personally find it scary that the differences are so striking and severe--divides like that are never good.

We need to move away from win/lose, and towards what is generally good/bad for the country. I just don't understand why republicans and democrats can't work together, because it seems to me that they only reason they disagree on a lot of things is simply because they think it'll hurt the other. I find that disgusting.
