Aww... I kind of miss writing in my livejournal. I have a feeling this last semester is getting flushed down the toilet of my memory. Fuck you alcohol.
Well the link back ups exactly what I said, I have an amazing memory when it comes to things that happend a long time ago. But when it comes to the last few years it seems like one big blur, I'm assuming because of alcohol.
But I have herd this interseting theory about drinking in relation to buffalo. For instance, when buffalo run in herds, they can only run as fast as the slowest buffalo. So in a way, thats very similar to my brain. When I drink, I kill off all the slow / non important brain cells, therefore allowing my brain to work even faster.
There is mounting evidence that repeated exposure to alcohol during adolescence leads to long-lasting deficits in cognitive abilities, including learning and memory, in humans.
We're both right, eh?
That's a pretty fascinating buffalo-braincell analogy, sadly I think my brain operates like a herd of lemmings; therefore when one braincell dies, many more follow suit. Either way, this article says I don't have to worry about it until my 20s :)
