Clover Point - Spring 2 - Bastian Blythe gets a home!
Hello, kind people who take the time to read my BaCC!
This update is about Bastian Blythe who became an adult early in the rotation and moved out of his parents' place. I figured that since he wasn't played all that much this rotation, he deserved to get his own chapter right now ;)
So, here is our dear Bastian, in front of his brand new home! He's really proud of it!
He has a right to be, too, because it's a very cute little house that is just perfect... for the time being! ;)
As soon as he had settled in, he invited his girlfriend Ivy Kratz over for a date. To refresh your memory, they have one bolt of chemistry and started going steady last season because Bastian really wanted it.
The date went REALLY well and they ended up woohooing for the very first time. How sweet!
But Bastian still wasn't sure that Ivy was The One. So, he decided to go into town to meet some new people. He tried talking to every black haired girl he saw, because that's a big turn on for him.
Bastian spent a good deal of time chatting with this girl, but it turned out that had negative chemistry...
... so, he went to Dance Fever and met Annie Simpson. He had two bolts with her, but something just didn't feel right...
"So, you're Hayden's son?"
"Yes."
"Oh, your father is SUCH a stud!"
"Uh, if you say so... but how do you know him?"
"Hum, well, I, uh... I come here a lot..."
Yeah, something about that girl was iffy.
Bastian made one last stop at My Muse, the hobby lot, before going back home. He talked with Mona Monif, but she did not even try to hide how bored he made her.
So, the next day, he invited Ivy over once again. He had to follow his heart, and it was telling him that she was the girl for him. He just wanted to test something out, first...
"Ivy, have you ever thought of dying your hair?"
"Dying my hair? What color?"
"Oh, I don't know... Black, maybe?"
"I'd never thought about it... Do you think it would suit me?"
"Oh, I'm sure anything would suit you, you are so beautiful!"
"Aw, Bastian, you're too nice! I guess I could try a little change, it could be interesting!"
Bastian was pleased.
"Ivy, would you like to move in with me?"
"Bastian! Are you sure?"
"I am, Ivy. You're the perfect girl for me and I don't want to live without you."
"I'm so happy! Hey, I think I'm going to try that hair color change right now!"
A little while later, Ivy came out of the bathroom looking completely different.
"I decided to change the way I style it, too, as long as I'm in the mood. So... what do you think?"
"Oh, Baby!! You are HOT!"
"Really?"
"Hell, yeah! Would you marry me, you sexy thing?"
"Don't joke about things like that, Bastian!"
"Oh, I'm not joking. I love you, Ivy and I want you to be my wife. What do you say?"
"SQUEEE!" was what Ivy said. Bastian and her are now three bolters, because I also tweaked her turn ons and turns off. It was worth it!
So, we have a new Sim, people! Ivy Kratz is a Leo (4/10/4/4/3). Her aspirations are Pleasure/Romance with a LTW of having 50 dream dates. Doable... I think! She had a job in the Athletic career, which she unfortunately had to quit...
But, Bastian still felt very good about himself, what with getting engaged and gettin buff in the same day. They would find other ways to make money.
As for Ivy, she felt she needed new clothes, to go with her new hair. She's so classy, isn't she?
And as long as she was out shopping, she bought a new outfit for Bastian, too. Quite an improvement!
A bit of digging, in order to actually earn some money...
Because Bastian was not having any luck finding a job in entertainment.
Over lunch, Bastian informed Ivy that his family was coming over soon, to witness the happiest day of their lives. Ivy was really happy about it and made sure she was ready to greet them.
They both couldn't wait to be husband and wife.
Everyone was very elegant for Bastian and Ivy's wedding and the conversations flowed easily.
Elisabeth beamed as she watched her son exchange rings with her new daughter in law. And yes, Ivy was really happy to get hitched! Romance sim my petunia! Ha!
Oh, and Bastian is now known as Bastian Kratz. That's right, he's a modern guy and doesn't mind taking his wife's name.
Of course, she's also a cake shover.
Many toasts were made to the happy couple and Bastian toasted his beautiful bride, too. All in all, the wedding party was a roof raiser :)
"I had such a good time, today, Bastian."
"So did I, beautiful."
"Do you think your family had fun?"
"I'm sure they did. But, now that I finally have you all to myself, let's no talk about them!"
Du-du-du-du Du-duuuu... Can you hear that? That's right... it's a lullaby!
Bastian also tried his hand at digging. He was not completele unsuccessful, but he still hoped a job would turn up sonner than later.
Since the job listing were still very slim, Bastian decided to write his first novel. After all, he has maxed creativity, so how bad could it be?
Bastian thinks his wife is hot even when she's on the verge of throwing up.
And yes, Ivy, your suspicion is correct! We will soon be welcoming a tiny Kratz!
"Here, beautiful, let me take care of you."
"Ha, that feels so good, thank you!"
Ivy burnt dinner, but did not start a fire.
Neither did Bastian as he served spaghetti.

The computer broke, and Bastian managed to fix it, even though it took him quite some time. He just couldn't leave it like that, he needed it for his job hunt.
Good thing, too, because that day, Bastian finally found a job in entertainment as a round table knight. The outfit was ridiculous, but he was definitely glad to go earn some money!
Ivy passed the time painting.
And made a new friend... but I forgot to write down his name. But Bastian needs to get as many friends as possible if he wants to get promoted, so she's doing her part!
In the evening, Bastian came home with a promotion and a friend, who he introduced to his sister MacKayla.
Ivy's mystery friend also left her this lamp. Of course, I sold it immediately. What would they do with a lamp like that, really?
Ivy got her second bump as she was painting.
"Hello, baby! It's your dad! You better be as beautiful as your Mom!"
"Bastian! Really!"
Doesn't our dad-to-be look dashing in his mime outfit? But the good news is that his career is going well and that he got promoted again! Yay!
And finally, it was time!

"Unlock the bathroom door, Ivy!!! I can't get in!"
"Arrrrgh! I can't move, it hurts too much!"
But soon, the delivery was over and Ivy was holding a perfect baby boy!
Ladies and gentlemen, meet David Kratz, also known as Davy! He has his dad's skintone, but he has his grand father's brown eyes and his mother's blond hair. His name comes from Anne of Avonlea, by Lucy Maud Montgomery, but also from David Copperfield by Charles Dickens, both characters and books I love.
And that's where this chapter ends. I admit I extended it by a few hours because Ivy was just so close to giving birth and I wanted to see what was hiding in her belly. ;)
