New in Clover Point, the Binchy family! (Spring 2)
According to the rules, I get one CAS for each community lot, and Clover Point now counts three. I've been saving my CAS point, so I'm now able to introduce a brand new family to Clover Point :)
Everyone, meet the Binchy family!
Here they are!
Left, we have Ted Binchy. He's a Fortune/Romance Cancer (6/3/6/4/6) and his LTW is to become a Prestidigitator. Unfortunately for him, he does not have enough charisma point. So I'll make him focus on something else, don't worry.
Right, we have mom Primrose Binchy, who's a Family/Romance sim. Weird ;) She's an Aquarius (4/4/4/7/6) and her LTW is to graduate 3 kids from college. Sorry, darling, you came into town too early...
And finally, in the middle is cutie pie Gilbert Binchy. He's a Cancer like his dad (6/3/5/4/7).
I named them in honor of Maeve Binchy, a wonderful Irish author who lost her battle to cancer recently. Also, Primrose is from The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collin and Gilbert is named after Anne's childhood friend and husband, Gilbert Blythe, in the Anne of Green Gables series by Lucy Maud Montgomery.
This is their cute pink house. It's small, but it will do for now. I'm planning some renovations down the road... when they actually have money!
Since Clover Point is a neighbourhood I created and that I spawned brand new townies and NPC, the sim bin is not filled with premade families. The sims waiting in there, like the Binchy before now, were all created by me ;) So, even though they are a familly, Prim, Gil and Ted are not friends... yet.
But, see, a family sim takes care of little things like that very fast! :)
The welcome wagon consisted of Carla, Elisabeth and Hayden.
Primrose and Carla get along famously. They talked about their kids for HOURS. Ted also chatted with Elisabeth...
... while Gilbert show off to Hayden. Really, the Binchy family was felt very welcomed to town!
"My mom says you have a store full of clothes, is it true?"
"Ah, no, that's not me, chaps, that's Carla over there. Fancy Pants it's called. I own a club."
"Can I go?"
"When you're a bit older, yes."
"So, honey, are you glad we decided to move here?"
"Oh, I am, Ted! The neighbours are lovely, aren't they?"
"They sure seem nice. It looks like a great community."
"We made the right choice. Gilbert will have a great childhood, here."
"Speaking of which, now that we're settled, how about we give our son a brother or a sister... I know you've been yearning for another baby."
"Oh, Ted! You know me so well!"
Very early the next morning, while his parents were still sleeping, Gilbert spent some time playing at his brand new activity table.
As for Ted, he started digging as soon as he got up. While talking with his new neighbours, he had learned that it was a common way to make some money, over here.
Primrose took care of the cooking, that day.
More digging... Ted did not find a treasure, but a few rocks and a statue... not too bad.
Family fun time! Let's raise those relationships bars!
Another family of prudent sims who do not start fires... *sigh*
I'm getting used to the idea that I will have to wait until I have of population of 500 before unlocking the Law enforcement career...
Bump #1! Gilbert will have a brother or a sister after all!
Eventually, the Binchys will open a music venue. So, I bought them the guitar right now, since they're going to need instruments anyway, and in the meantime, Primrose can have some fun! ;)

Prim also helped her son with his homework. He had had his first day of school and he was not really happy about it. She figured that with her help, Gil would begin to like school better...
But even with his mother's help, Gilbert still had a C report card. Oh well, at least he was not flunking...
In order to earn some more money, Ted decided to write his very first novel. It was not a great success, but the royalty check was still interesting, to him. Anything helped!
"So, you're saying that there's a baby in there?"
"That's right!"
"I hope it's a boy!"
"Won't you be happy if it's a girl?"
"I guess... But, boys are better!"
"Mom, you're not mad that I didn't get an A?"
"Of course not, sweetie. As long as you work hard and do your best, I'll always be proud of you."
Bump #2!
Since she was up, Primrose decided to go into town. She visited Fancy Pants and met new people.
She also met Ivy Kratz. They are almost the same age, so I'm hoping they'll be friends and so will their children.
And just as everyone in Clover Point, Prim thinks that Walter is YUM-my! lol
It's a good thing he has three bolts with Carla, because otherwise, things would get ugly, fast! ;)
Oh, and Gil really HATES school. He needs to be played with so much!
But at least it helped him become best friends with his dad!
Prim was playing guitar when she felt the first pangs of pain. She didn't remember it hurt so much!
Gil did not seem to notice that his mom was giving birth. He was focused on his homework!
And we have a baby girl! After all those boys in other households! Yay!
This is Louise Binchy. She has her dad's skintone and black hair, and her mom's green eyes.
Louise is named after a chick lit author that I enjoy, Louise Bagshawe.
I didn't take many pictures of the "taking care of baby" phase, but this is the proof that I actually take care of Louise ;)
Ted was asleep when his daughter was born, but he made sure to get to know her as soon as he woke up.
After that, he went to Dance Fever where he worked as DJ and managed to make some more money.
