Clover Point - Summer 2 - Binchy family

Dec 16, 2012 08:21

Hello everyone!

Here's an update about the new family in town :)

Here they are! Primrose, holding baby Louise, Ted and in front, Gilbert.

Last time, the Binchys were just settling into Clover Point. Neither Ted nor Prim have jobs as of yet, but they did decide to add a new family member. There also was a lot of digging, some novel writing and Ted tried his hand as a DJ. Anything to earn some money!

Prim started the season by looking for a job. But, unfortunately, there were no jobs available in athletics or architecture, which are the only two field she could apply for.

"Dad, do you think I'll ever get better in school?"

"Of course, son! If you work hard, you will."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, I am. But don't forget that as long as you do your best, your mother and I are proud of you."

And with that, Gil put his worries aside and went out to play.

Primrose realized it was time for a visit to the grocery store, so she went to Rice for All. She really like the friendly feeling of Clover Point.

Meanwhile, Ted stayed home with the baby and took some time to work on his creativity. He needed it, because he wanted his next novel to be great.

Oh, and there was some more digging... They are the only family in town who still dig on a regular basis. I hope they won't have to soon.

Every mom needs some down time, once in a while... Plus, that Jamie Simliver is darn cute! ;)

Really, this season, everyone in the family was busy increasing their skills. Gilbert really likes the blocks!

"Hey, Hayden!"

"Ted, you're here again?"

"Yeah, I need money, man! I have a family! I thought you wouldn't mind me DJ-ing again..."

"No, for sure, it's perfect. That way I can focus on the bar and the customers. You're doing a great job, keep it up!"

See? Ted is not the only one doing his part for the family!

Time to write a second novel! This one was going to be for kids.

Ted also made sure to take good care of his brand new daugther.

And soon enough, it was time for Louise to become a toddler.

Here she is! Wait... let's give her better hair, and then I'll introduce her properly.

This is Louise Binchy, who looks a lot like her mother and his quite a cutie. She's a Gemini (2/8/6/7/7). I seem to be getting a lot of Geminis, in this neighbourhood!

Louise also enjoyed the activity table with all the blocks and crayons.

"Okay, sing with me, Lou... The itsy-bitsy spider climbed up the water spout..."

"Spidew? No like spidew!"

"Hmpfh."

Gilbert tried his best, but his sister didn't seem much interested in nursery rhymes.

But it didn't matter, because he saw a really big, but very friendly dog outside.

"Hey, doggy! Will you be my friend? I'm new here and my sister is just a baby..."

Ted sat with Louise to teach her new words. She was a fast learner, for that.

Over lunch, that day, Prim had good news to share.

"Ted, you know how I've been looking for a job?"

"Yes, darling?"

"Well, I just found one! I'm going to be a mascot for the Clover Point Llamas!"

"That's great news, darling! Congratulations!"

"And maybe with the money I earn, we'll finally be able to open our business."

And then, it was time for Gilbert to grow up. It was a small family affair, but it was still a lot of fun.

Here is our new stud! Ha!

Gilbert Binchy rolled Fortune/Grilled Cheese and his LTW is to become a City Planner. Good thing for him, a position is available! I'll make sure to keep it for you, Gil! ;)

"Here you go, Lou. That's right, you're standing. Now come to Mommy!"

Ted worked so hard on his novel that the computer broke. Of course he had to fix it... and we got our second electrocution, peeps! I know I shouldn't be happy about that, but... yeah. Woo!

Everyone in the family was very much troubled by the incident, though.

Now that he's old enough, Gilbert pratices his guitar skills as much as he could. He's heard that it's a good way to charm girls...

It took time (no smart milk for her, I'm doing it the hard way), but all the efforts finally paid off. Louise learned to talk and was potty trained in the same day.

"Mom! Mom! Look! I got an A+ report card!"

"That's wonderful, honey! Well done! I'll give you a hug right after I'm done filling this hole up."

Gil really is nice kid. He doesn't mind helping his parents keeping the yard clean and sharp looking.

Oh, a mascot with pink glasses! That's funny! But guess who got a promotion after her first day of work? That's right! Primrose is now a Minor Leaguer.

She helped Louise learn to walk before going to bed, but the girl was not quite solid on her feet yet.

It was Gilbert who helped her get all the way there! And with that, Louise has learned all her skills, except the nursery rhymes... But, honestly, she had NO interest.

Ted is now a stay-at-home dad, but not for long...

... because with Primrose's bonus, they were able to purchase their first community lot and open a party supply store, called It's My Party. Yay!

Okay, it doesn't have walls and a roof, yet... but it's a start, we'll get there!

Ted was on his own, but he managed to make good sells and he also took care of the cash register and of restocking. He really liked taking care of a business.

Oooh! First star! And the sale of a bubble blower, cashing!

But... why is Ted on the ground?

Do you see the pink lady waking away? That's Mona Monif, the business reviewer. And she just gave It's My Party a bad review...

... and with that I got my second sim in aspiration failure. Damn it!

The crazy psychiatrist healed him, but still, Ted was majorly in the red.

That's why he went right down to work on his novel, as soon as he got home. He finished it and it sold great. Phew! That gave Ted enough aspiration points to be platinum and also gave the family a nice check. They'll be able to improve the store next rotation!

And with all this happening, I forgot that it was Louise's birthday, so she became a child without any celebration, but very satisfied with her life, so far.

Okay, Ted, you need that. You've been through a lot this rotation. Can't wait to see what the next one will bring!

That's it for the Binchy family, folks. Up next, we are going to see what MacKayla Blythe will be doing with her adulthood. Thanks for reading! :)
