Hi there! I'm still going, yes, yes! I didn't get a chance to play that much during the holiday break, because it was simply hectic (plus, I received TS3 and I've been experimenting with it...), but here is another chapter of my BaCC!
This time, we meet a new family...
This, folks, is Eve Montgomery, named after one of my favorite author of all time, Lucy Maud Montgomery.
Eve is a Scorpio (6/5/7/3/4) and she's a Popularity/Pleasure sim. Her LTW is to become Mayor, but sadly, she probably won't be able to achieve her goal. You came in too early, sweetie... I'm still going to make her life worth living, promise! ;)
Eve was new in Clover Point and she didn't know if the town had what she needed to be happy. So, instead of buying a house straight away, she decided to rent half of this beautiful duplex.
Oh, and let's not forget to introduce Mango, Eve's cat, that the landlord seems very fond of!
One of the first things Eve did after signing the lease was to place an add for a roomate. The place was not cheap and she would need to share the rent if she wanted to keep living here.
This first guy came around...
"So, you're looking for a roomate?"
"I am, yes."
"Well, I'd be interested. I don't have a choice, really. But I need you to know that I will NOT be your housemaid or your receptionnist or..."
He didn't need to tell more, Eve didn't want to listen to him and made it very clear that he would not be her roommate.
Later, she received a visit from this young man, who had seen her add for a roomate. Word travels fast around Clover Point!
"So, Clay, right?"
"Yes. Clay Thayer."
"Right, so the rent is a bit more than $3K per week, that we can split in half. Would that work for you?"
"Sure, that sounds good!"
"Great! I'm sure we'll have a lot of fun, together! Welcome home, Clay!"
"Awesome! I'll go get my stuff!"
And that's how Eve got a roomate... who supposedly has a job in the Medical field but NEVER goes to work. That's strange. Anyone can hint my on that? This is the first time I've played with a roomate... Clay will help with the rent, but he doesn't count in the population as he is not selectable.
Then, Eve met Anthony Peshtarianu, who she got along with very well.
You can also see Eve's neighbour, Oliver Cameron, in the background. He's the lucky NPC that receives all the taxes my sims pay for a future university.
Clay made himself at home quite easily. He burned his first dinner, but no fire.
Meanwhile, Eve was taking some time to play with Mango. So cute!
Being a popularity sim, Eve ALWAYS wants to meet new people, so she chatted with the mailman a bit...
... and then with this guy, Alan Philips, who just walked by.
Eve felt attracted to Alan, their conversation was easy and so she invited him to stay for lunch. She was thinking that it might be fun to see him again, too. Maybe go dancing in a real club instead of her small kitchen.
(They have two bolts and he's got a interesting nose, so he could become a real part of this BaCC...)
But then, Eve also wanted really badly to see Anthony again. She figured that she had made no promises to Alan and that both guys could simply become good friends of her.
So, she invited Anthony over. They had so much fun playing rock paper scissors, that Eve knew at once what she wanted to do...
"You know, Anthony, I think you are really cute."
"You... you can call me Tony, you know."
Two bolts with him, too! But since the relationship between Eve and Antho... sorry, Tony was progressing faster and that more romantic interaction were available much faster, Eve figured she didn't need to think about it anymore, it was clear.
Tony was the one for her.
After Tony had left, Eve installed the flower bench she had wished for in the dining room, as it was empty for the moment. She got to work and started making daisy bouquets, to eventually open her very own flower shop.
She worked very hard, as soon as she got out of bed in the morning, and it gave nice results. She was proud of what she was doing and where it would take her.
Clay and Mango are both very happy to live with Eve, especially since she lets them use her bed, once in a while...
(Yeah, after that, I locked the door to Clay, poor guy. But, it's true that he's a super happy roommate, he plays with Mango a lot and he's best friend with Eve. Still not going to work, though, which is so strange.)
"Tony! You're here! I'm so glad!"
"How was your day? How about a little back rub?"
"Mmm, that feels good, Eve."
"Tony, you really are a wonderful guy and I really miss you when we're not together."
"You're the wonderful one, Eve. And I'd like to be with you every waking moment, too."
"Well, then, how about you move in with me?"
"Only if you will be my official girlfriend."
"Deal!"
Anthony Peshterianu moved in with $4K. He's also a Popularity sim but his second aspiration is knowledge. I forgot to write down is astrological sign, but his LTW is to own 5 top-level businesses. Very fitting for a BaCC! Let's get to work!
And so, the digging started to try and get some more money to open a first business. Together, Eve and Tony did a good job and found some interesting things, more than bones and rocks.
They unwind at the end of each day by spending some quality time together, wink-wink!
They agreed, though, that they would not be trying for a baby just yet. They both wanted to get their careers as business owners started before becoming a family.
So, the digging continued, with it's sometime unfortunate events...
... untill the treasure chest was found and they finally had enough money to stop digging for a (short) while.
Now that they had enough money, Tony decided to treat himself to a brand new look. He figured he needed to look the part if he was going to be taken seriously as a business owner.
When he came back, Eve surprised him with an engagement ring. Of course, he said yes.
(Surprisingly, Eve got a bad memory from it, but she's not a romance sim...)
Things were really going nicely for Eve and Tony, as they also had enough money now to open the Pin Up Café, a diner style restaurant.
Tony made sure to greet every customer and soon, he had his bronze sales badge and the diner was at rank 2.
While Tony was at the restaurant, Eve continued to work on her flower arrangements. I didn't get to take a picture, but she got her bronze badge and can now make wild flowers arrangements, as she is proudly showing us. The flower shop will open next rotation, that's for sure!
And that's where I'm leaving you. Thank you so much for reading and for commenting on boolprop! :) Next time, we go back to the original Blythe family. Feels like it's been years since I've played them, can't wait!
**ETA: I forgot to mention that Clay is still Eve and Tony's roommate, until they decide to have kids, so that way, they share the rent. Eve is not pregant yet, she's a modern girl and wants to focus on her career for the moment. Her husband is perfectly happy with that, too. They have big goals and more businesses to open before adding a little one to their family. But it will come, fear not! ;)
