I'm in the same boat as far as grading papers goes. ::sigh:: What a way to spend the weekend.
What kind of suggestions did you hear for classroom management/behavior? My biggest problem right now is the lack of parental involvement/support. My students are definitely not the same as the groups I had 17 years ago and the strategies that worked in the past just don't cut it now.

Actually, nothing was given about parent support. I have the exact same problem. Conferences are coming up, and the parents that I desparately need to see are unable to attend. Phone conferences will be abundant this time.
