Merlin. I talked to Blaise today. That was interesting I suppose.
BlaiseHwl: Blaise entered the library and blew warm air into his hands. Rubbing them together he surveyed the expansive room until he spotted Daphne, whom he approached.
"Good evening, Ms. Greengrass"
daphne hwl: Daphne looked up from her book to see who had interrupted her. She saw that it was Blaise and she set it down. "Evening Blaise. How are you?"
BlaiseHwl: "I'm doing better, just getting over a..cold. Madame Pomphrey is a Queen for the magnificent work she does. Yourself?"
daphne hwl: Daphne nodded. "That's good." She nodded at a chair across from her. "You can sit if you'd like."
BlaiseHwl: "Thank you" he said sitting down, "what book did I pry you away from?"
daphne hwl: She slid it across the table. It was an old dusty book she had found in the corner, about love spells and potions. She had picked it up out of pure curiosity. "Some old book. Pretty interesting. They're so weird, I'd be freaked if anyone used any of this stuff on me."
BlaiseHwl: Blaise flipped open the cover and glanced at the title, "Love spells and Potions? Come now, Daphne. Love isn't in spells or potions, you know that."
daphne hwl: Daphne shrugged. "I was bored and looking for something to read Blaise." She rolled her eyes. "I'm not really into that kind of stuff. If they don't love you by their own, why try to force them with a spell or potion?" She was hiding her emotions very carefully now, being sure to keep herself in check. She didn't want to accidentally blurt anything stupid out like she did when she got emotional. She sighed and drummed her fingers on the chair, occasionally looking up at Blaise. "What brings you to the library?"
BlaiseHwl: "I've been couped up in a hospital bed this last week, I needed to take a walk and I enjoy reading so I was in to see if there was anything that interested me and then you caught my eye"
daphne hwl: Daphne smiled slightly. "I see. That's good." She sighed. "I haven't seen anybody this week."
daphne hwl: She frowned. "Haven't seen Pansy either. " She shrugged and tucked a piece of hair behind her ear.
BlaiseHwl: "I would guess Pansy fell under 'anyone'. I know that feeling, being bed ridden and all"
daphne hwl: Daphne shrugged again. "No, she's the princess. Have to seperate her from the masses."
BlaiseHwl: "I hear a hint of asperity in your voice, have things not been friendly between Ms. Parkinson and yourself?"
daphne hwl: "Things have been..." she paused, being that the reason for the tension was the person sitting in front of her, "just a little weird. I don't know, she's been acting strangely lately."
BlaiseHwl: Blaise leaned his chin on his fist, looking at her intently, "Do you know why she's been acting oddly?"
daphne hwl: Daphne sat back and crossed her legs, smoothing down her skirt. "I don't know. Draco called her a cow and that Draco's mother wrote Pansy and then wrote my mother who wrote me and demanded that I show Pansy how to be a true Slytherin or something idiotic like that." She rolled her eyes at the thought. My mother...merlin. "Oh, and she also started freaking when she found out about Harry and Draco." Daphne shook her head and closed her eyes, willing the memory away. She didn't want to think about that.
BlaiseHwl: "Ah, well, that would be unsettling. And when it comes to Harry and Draco, I was shaken myself by Draco's actions"
daphne hwl: Daphne frowned. "Yes, I was there, by accident. It was weird.." She shuddered. Especially because she still fancied Harry at that time.
daphne hwl: "Okay I have to confess. I used to fancy Harry." She frowned. I can't believe I just told him that
BlaiseHwl: Blaise shrugged, "That's not very shocking, Harry is an atrractive boy and with his fame, I could see how someone could fancy him. I don't, but its believeable."
daphne hwl: She rolled her eyes. "It's all in the past now. When he found it I liked him, he owled me and told me we could only be friends." She shrugged. "I got over it."
BlaiseHwl: "Well, its for the best, he is Potter. Have your intrests moved on to anyone else?"
daphne hwl: "Yes, someone has caught my eye." She rolled her eyes. "But I doubt anything would happen there."
BlaiseHwl: "Why do you say that?" said Blaise, scrunching his brows in thought
daphne hwl: If she said too much, it would give it all away. "Well, my friend would be more interesting to him, I think. She's more flirty and outgoing." Oh well, probably just gave it away right there. "Plus she's gorgeous."
BlaiseHwl: Blaise restrained a smile, "Ah, friendly rivalry? or not-so-friendly rivalry as the case may be?" This might get interesting
daphne hwl: "I'm not gonna fight with her over this. She's the-, I mean, well if he picks her, then that's fine. I don't stoop to those kind of levels where I'm fighting with friends over guys."
daphne hwl: She tucked another strand of hair behind her ear, twirling it nervously. Since when do I twirl my hair??
BlaiseHwl: Blaise sat for a moment contemplating before speaking, "In situations like this, I think love will prevail."
daphne hwl: She nodded. "I think you're right."
BlaiseHwl: Blaise sighed as he stood up, "As much as I hate leaving right as a juicy topic like love comes up, I having to stop by Madame Pomfrey to pick up some more medicine"
daphne hwl: Daphne smiled at him. "Alright Blaise. See you later."
BlaiseHwl: "You too, hope everything turns out between you and your friend" Blaise said, before the turned and left
daphne hwl: Daphne watched him go. Merlin that was a close one. Hopefully he didn't figure anything out. But he's smart, he'll put it all together soon.
Twirling my hair?? Telling him I used to fancy Harry?? What next? Idiotic school girl giggling?!? Merlin, I need to pull myself together around him.
