Kill yourself? Come on, Daphne, that's a bit cold...
No one is devoid of passions. Daphne, I would have thought the clue for why people are reluctant to submit happily to doing this assignment was in the personal part of it. I'm not about to stand up in front of anyone, let alone the entire school or whatever, and tell them what my personal passions are.
Surely personal passions are more sacred than that.
Sure, I’ll take some time out by myself and have a think about what matters to me personally, but I’m not going to advertise it because it’s not anyone else’s business to know apart from the people who I want to reveal those personal emotions to.
If you're TRULY passionate about something, you wouldn't need to hide it, and you wouldn't be ashamed of it or scared of revealing it.
Sacred things are meant to be worshipped--to be lauded and to be loved. They're not meant to be hidden away in the recesses of your mind. Passion is meant to shine through a person--it's not meant to be supressed.
If you have passion, you have the will and the drive and the fearlessness to open yourself up for scrutiny. You have the courage to bare yourself and not care what others think, because you love what you are passionate about, and nothing that anyone else says counts.
That's why I have an issue about people having issues on this assignment.

I'd have to second that thought, Tracey; that's DEFINITELY something that makes me smile.
