"Dad," he began, about to request leave, but his father was already waving him off, a knowing look in his eye. They shared a mutual thought... "Something is terribly wrong."
He grabbed Daphne by the small of her back and lead her to a further room. It seemed to be the master suite. He hoped Kirke's mum wouldn't mind too much.
