Wednesdays were always slow in Daphne's profession. Thursdays started to speed up and Friday started off the weekend. Daphne loved Wednesdays and often took the opportunity to pamper herself before a long weekend of events. Today was no different ( Read more... )

Terry's eyes had begun to glaze over... After staring blankly at the same piece of jewelry for approximately three hours, the poor man was dumbfounded and confused how the necklace had managed to hex a little girl in Dublin; some sort of dark magic had been placed on the gold but he still hadn't cracked it yet.

Luckily his intensity was broken by an owl dropping a rolled scroll right besides the mystery necklace. Peeling off his protective gloves and goggles, he quickly skimmed Daphne's note.

Worried, but more intrigued, he penned back a quick reply and tied it to the same owl.

Daphne had about six books spread about in front of her, curled up on the floor. Tippy had been refilling her mug with green tea for hours and kept the fire roaring. But she still felt as if she was being dragged around in circles.

She stood up to stretch, feeling her legs getting stiff.

For some reason it was habit to poof right outside of Daphne's house, in order to knock. It just seemed wrong and impolite otherwise.

With a tap, tappity, tap, his usual knock, Terry leaned against the door frame, flowers behind his back. Calla lilies, tied with a simple purple ribbon.

Daphne heard the door and Tippy appeared, though, she had a feeling she knew who it was. Smiling, she headed towards the door as she fluffed out her hair.

"Hello, stranger," she teased, a large smiling spreading over her lips at the sight of Terry.
