I've lost it.

Until now, I was mostly thinking that what I lost on my computer was everything on the hard drive.  I didn't even think about my bookmarks.

I have....no knitting patterns.  None whatsoever.  I just have to completely start over.

Oh, also I have to find a scarf pattern for Russell.  HE HAS NEVER OWNED A SCARF.  WHO HAS NEVER OWNED A SCARF???  I'm so ( Read more... )

Do you keep a Ravelry queue? If not, maybe start trolling through people's projects and queues and you'll come up with lots of really good stuff.

A nice, simple, possibly manly scarf is the Yarn Harlot's One Row Scarf. I just made one, and it's super easy and quick. You can also adjust it easily for different yarn weights and width/length of scarf.

I somehow doubt that will happen. The sweater curse, that is. I mean, I saw you two, remember? I highly doubt it.

But I'm thinking scarves for the scarfless. Seriously, who has never owned a scarf? That's just crazy. And sad.

I'm so sorry about your bookmarks; I fecking HATE losing my bookmarks D:

All you say is true. However, I must in all honesty admit that I'm the TINIEST bit glad the Sweater Curse exists, as the threat of it keeps me from having to knit a really huge sweater. My willingness to knit sweaters decreases drastically the bigger someone is.

It's okay, I'm afraid of the sweater curse too. I ended up breaking up with my last boyfriend after the mere hint that I would knit him a sweater. Luckily I didn't get further than looking for patterns.

By the way, I was thinking of you earlier this week because I was wondering what I was going to make my current love interest for his birthday, and I know he's a Doctor Who fan...so I was like...hmm I bet Corrinna would have a pattern for a Dr. Who scarf. Anyway, I'm sorry about your computer, but yeah, do a search on ravelry. I've actually had some luck with knitting suggestions on Yahoo Answers in the arts and crafts category.
