Come this time next year, I will not be in the U.S.A. At least, that's what I'm hoping for. I realized that there's never going to be a better time in my life to travel than now. I'm young, healthy (and getting healthier), unmarried, and have no kids. There is literally no reason I can't take my own gap year, so I'm going to.

I've looked into Au Pair and would very much love to do it myself if I had the guts/money for that sort of thing. Obviously I am a mother sort of girl, so that's just me. But you, I do see you in Europe more so than Asia, don't even know why. My friend from Bellingham went to Japan to teach English, though, and she loved it so much she's staying there indefinitely. I couldn't do Australia personally because there are too many scary things there that want to kill you. My environmental science professor liked to tell us stories about his years in the outback. Scary shit. If you do wind up looking into Au Pair, though, youuuu should share info with me. Because you're right about now being an ideal time to travel.
