Is the marathon over? Did your uncle win?

according to the Marathon website my uncle finished in 3 hours, 49 minutes and 28 seconds. considering he is 60 this year, this is pretty awesome.

I went down to Coolidge corner on my lunch break to try and see him go past, but couldn't spot him anywhere in the crowds of people. My mother said she and the rest of the family saw him go by in Newton, and my brother was waiting for him at the finish line with my cousins (presumably a bit tipsy by that time...)

in response to your last post - I always wondered what it would be like to meet some of the people I talked to every day when I was answering the phones for the personal ads. it would probably be pretty pathetic. The retarded gay black guy Geoffrey Levine (he claims he was black, though the last name doesn't fit....) lives somewhere in Queens. many times I said I would go visit him.
