I guess I should list some things that have changed since 2012?

Fell out of love with TGWTG for the most part
Fell out of love with Doctor Who/Torchwood
Fell out of love with Avatar: the Last Airbender (Legend of Korra didn't do much for me)
Fell in love with Achievement Hunter

Congrats on the boyfriend and the comics!

I've stopped watching Doctor Who as well (I liked Eleven but drifted away at some point during Twelve's run). Still haven't seen Legend of Korra but would like to. Haven't watched Steven Universe either but heard it's awesome!

The last DW I watched was the 50th anniversary, and after that I sorta lost interest. I hear Capaldi's Doctor is pretty good but very abusive towards his companions, so...hmm. Just waiting to see what Thirteen will be like!

Korra was OK - Steve Blum played the villain in the first season but I dropped off afterwards. It wasn't bad, I liked the direction it headed in, but...eh. Shrugs.

*_* Steven Universe is the most LGBTQ-friendly family show ever. It's aimed towards a younger demographic, but it's a very smart show and acknowledges that it's got a much wider audience. It has fun, believable characters and rich storylines! If you want, I know a site where you can watch the entire series for free - so far as I can tell it's legit, but I use it until the episodes are available on iTunes. I got the hook-ups, my dude!

Yeah, I didn't have any issues with Capaldi himself but the... spark had just kind of gone out of it for me and I had very little interest in his companion. Might start it again when we get Thirteen, though (and a new showrunner, which is sorely needed IMO)

Heheh, my brother's also on at me to watch it - I'm pushed for time right now but it is on my list!

It has been long! Um, things have been okay - if it's been 2012 since we last had contact, then, let's see - I've been learning Japanese for a few years; I stopped working in publishing and now do admin for a clinical trial; I've been into Death Note for a good few years now and am currently enjoying a reacquaintance with Battle Royale; I fell into and then out of love with Homestuck... yeah, that's probably the basics :D

(I met up with sashwizzled last year and we made a pact to mutually pretend the other had been a cool and mature teenager. Your reappearance and comment about reading your old posts has made me think with some trepidation about ( ... )
