If you used to have a good picture, and just recently it got bad--without any real change to the wiring setup--there's a good chance that all you need to do is undo a wire, blow on it for good luck, and reseat it. Move to the next wire, same thing. You don't even need to see the back of the set if you can keep one finger on the place it goes while you pull the wire off. If you aren't pulling off every wire at one time, there's a good chance you won't "put it back" in the wrong place.
This is something I have to do with one coax cable to the back of the teevee after moving the vcr...the cable tangle behind the stack of machines is finicky. But it's an easy enough task.
If it's something that's never been right, you might need better advice that I can offer. Good luck.
