Just another update.

I've been feeling pretty down these last few days. All for no reason/dumb reasons. I hate it when that happens. Also, if I spend too long upset I get ill (which makes no medical sense I think, so maybe it's that I get upset as an illness is starting, and the illness is therefore the cause?) Either way, I'm not feeling well. Really bad headache ( Read more... )

I firmly believe your mental outlook affects how you feel physically. When I get broody, my stomach feels weak and upset, I feel dizzy, I can't focus on anything and I have this general malaise.. Hope you feel better soon, buddy.. *hugs* (And thank you for including us in your list of friends. Very nice of you. :0) )

Jo and I are really enjoying Joan of Arcadia so far.. at times it's like Touched by an Angel or Highway to Heaven, but there is a more down to earthiness about it that we really enjoy. I haven't not enjoyed an episode yet and it has become a show that we really look forward to watching. Tru Calling is ok so far, but I don't feel the pressing need to see it yet.. TV viewing is definitely much better this seasons, only a couple of weak nights of the weak...

No worries. :) And thanks for the info on mental/physical link. I feel less strange now. *g*

I've noticed that too, about the American TV line-up. There seem to be a heck of a lot of good shows on.

I've never seen Touched By An Angel. Is it any good?

By the way, Blackburn... relegation zone. Who'd be a foot fan eh? *sigh*

I wouldn't recommend Touched by an Angel. It's a very sappy show, not one I really watch..

Makes medical sense to me.

Being depressed probably effects your immune system. The (is it white blood cells? I have no idea, but whatever fights sickness) feel down too and can't be bothered fighting as hard. So you get sicker more easily. :p

I've missed you too! I'm sorry I've been SO bad at the posting thing lately. I took a spur of the moment trip to Philadelphia one long weekend (7 hour drive, 14 hours round trip - gah!) to see friends from grad school and have been alternately sick or swamped. Also, if I want to get my thesis in for the next deadline I'm going to have to really buckle down and work non-stop on it for the next few weeks. I may be scarce again but hopefully not too bad ( ... )

My goodness, that email was big! *g* How do you want me to respond to it? Because, well, it may take me a little while. Or shall I hold off replying to it until you're less busy, because I could do that. Really loved reading it, by the way, and now I know your name and everything. :p There's nothing to be ashamed of in having posts torn apart by livejournal! :)

Your pleading voice has done it. *g* Arguing with Ann Coulter is indeed the reason I want to meet her. I was really quite shocked when I first came across her that a) people actually held these views I've since realised that a heck of a lot of people hold them, to my complete and utter fear! and b) she could be so hypocritical without seemingly realising it. Such as, to paraphrase, "all those no-good traitor liberals can do in debate is hurl insults". Cracks me up, I swear. *g ( ... )

Sorry about the size. *sheepish* It is just hard because I want to respond to everything and combined with my propensity to ramble, well, you know, things can get ugly. :) Feel free to respond to it however is easiest. Also, feel free to NOT respond to it. Honestly. I do always love hearing from you but you definitely shouldn't feel like you have to answer it. Plus I am going to be very busy coming up so I wouldn't have time to respond to your response most likely and wow am I doing a bad job of answering your simple question. :) Basically I'd love to hear from you but don't feel obliged ( ... )

Hee, don't be sheepish about the long post. I know you will anyway, but still. *g* I always love reading anything from you, and in the cases of long posts combined with my less-than-fast reading ability *g*... well, it's great. :) (Lost the ability to construct a sentence there!)

Oh, I totally want to respond to it. :) I just know you're busy lately and won't be able to respond back, and I just didn't want you to feel guilty. But since you say you do want a response, well, I'll respond soon. Just remember, you asked for it. :p

Wow, around the world parties sound like a great time. Sorry you had to put up with a 7 hour drive to get to it - but, seeing friends is always great, especially if you don't get to spend as much time with them as you'd like. Glad you had a good time!

Hmm. Yes, did make sense, though I do recall having areas of disagreement. *g*

I've been a total slacker lately, and haven't been responding to stuff like I should. With email I'm a total slacker anyway, and almost always suck at emailing people back when I should.

I'll try and get a reply to you tonight or tomorrow. If I forget again, I may need a *bap*. :)
