Last few days

On Saturdays in work there's a different guy that runs the shift. Every other day, we work harder, putting 7 or 8 trifles on each row on the conveyor belt instead of the standard 6, and get done a heck of a lot quicker. This guy won't let us do that, so every week we are frustrated knowing we could be out of there an hour or so earlier, without a ( Read more... )

:D

You'll be putting Love Actually in your Romantic Comedy list once you see it. *nods* When do you get to see it?

Cruel Intentions! Great one. I knew other people would think of ones I didn't, since that I was just thinking off the top of my head. American Pie, also. Yes.

I think I need to get No Name Face. Cause, the two singles I've heard off it I absolutely loved.

Waiting impatiently to hear what you thought of all those movies you recently watched. *prod prod*

Yes, No Name Face is a must-have album. I think you'll absolutely adore it.

If you've not seen A Walk To Remember yet, I recommend it very highly. Total sappiness, and Mandy Moore. What more could you want from a movie? :D

I meant to ask this in your journal, but got sidetracked, forgot, and now I'm typing to you anyway, so I'll just ask now. Which of the categories would West Side Story belong to, stage-to-screen, right? (I didn't answer the musical questions because I'm unsure as to what ones are based on stage plays and what ones are movie originals... and I've not seen many.)

Love Actually... LOL, I whined about this a couple of times at the Beta and yet I've forgotten what day it gets released here. There is a showing on Monday as part of the Cardiff Screen Festival, but my unlimited card doesn't let me get free festival tickets, so I'll have to wait at least another week. So, I get to see it in a week and a bit I guess. So looking forward!

But...I don't like total sappiness! I hate total sappiness!

West Side Story...stage-to-screen. And I can't believe I left that off. See, that's what I get for going off the cuff. And lol...I had to split musical up, cause I've seen so many. You could just do "Top Five Musicals" overall, since you haven't seen as many.

I want an unlimited card. I'd be at the movies so much more if I didn't have to think about paying for them. Not that that's ever the reason I don't go, but, see, if I'd already paid for them, then I'd feel an obligation to go as often as possible, to get as much value for my money. And thus, more movies! And I always enjoy movies more when I see them in theatres.

Ok, what do you think of Mandy Moore? If you don't like her either, I guess you may want to give A Walk To Remember a miss. But, seriously, you're missing out. :p

Hmm, will have to think about that musical Top 5. Moulin Rouge! is definitely top of the list, and South Park is there or thereabouts. *ponders the rest ( ... )

"Speaking of uni... people are doing check lists. I'll copy.
- Write Black Political Thought essay ready to be handed in on Friday, 14th November."

THAT is a LIST? What is a List of One? Oh, something to do *g*

As for Runaway Jury...it's not a comedy. It has humor. Based on a novel, so you know it has a plot. Or three. But it's a really good movie and they didn't mess around with New Orleans too much. Some films that shoot here are AWFUL about the city's character. I was thinking about that on the way back from the French Quarter. One of the last times I was down there, I had to pass by the location. And the route I took home tonight, after I got past the newstrucks on Canal Street, brought me past another shooting location (the motel where John Cusack scaled the wall...yes, that was a real wall...I checked as I passed). That was after I passed the criminal court building that they also shot at. It's the same street, miles apart and a name change away, but that's a direct roadway. Or maybe it's just before the name ( ... )

5 movies and/or albums that should be on your list: The New Guy (a must see, it's hilarious, could be classified under Teen or Romantic Comedy), Savage Garden's self Titled first album, Aladdin (I loooove that movie), Bring it On, X2 ect.ect.

I love the No Name Face CD, it's waaaay overplayed in my CD player.

My sister owns A Walk To Remember. She only watches it because Shane West is in it, but I like the movie.

I pick Chicago over Moulin Rouge, probably because in MR I knew what was going to happen, and I was the only person in the group of 4 that liked Chicago.

A bit long winded there I got *facepalm* and I'm starting to channel Yoda. God help me.

I've not seen Aladdin, but I have seen the others you mention. The New Guy and Bring It On were cool, and X2 was outstanding.

Oooh, Savage Garden. I must confess, that debut self-titles album of theirs *is* one of my favourite albums of all time. I really adore Savage Garden.

I still need to see Chicago, and I need to see A Walk To Remember again some time. :)

You weren't long winded at all. :)
