Postiversary.

Dec 06, 2003 07:37

It's the one one year anniversary of me starting to post at the Beta today. This year has gone by so amazingly fast, it's hard to believe. I'm so pleased that I made a random decision a year ago to start posting there. It would take forever to go through all the great things that have come about from that, so I won't. Most importantly though, I ( Read more... )

Happy Postiversary then!
Good news on the cold front :)
Haven't seen S.W.A.T. but the trailer for it makes it seem enjoyable anyway. Samuel L Jackson is always pretty cool in films.

Never really seen any of Mark Kermode's reviews but he's a good informed presenter on TV documentaries about films and I'm sure I remember his name from horror or sci-fi magazines in the past.

Mark Kermode's main trait is an almost insane love for The Exorcist. He was probably in the horror magazines raving about how it's the greatest movie of all time. I like listening to his reviews (3pm-4pm, Friday, Radio 5), even though I don't see how he can possibly believe some of the things he believes!

Vert true, Samuel L. Jackson has such a charisma and screen presence that he's always watchable. S.W.A.T. was one of his weaker roles, though he was still one of the better things about the movie.

Will you see it, d'you think?

I'll probably see it....on DVD (that's where I've been catching up with a few of the big summer movies that I missed at the cinema). Last film I saw at the cinema was I believe The Matrix Reloaded.

I used to like going to the cinema on weekday afternoons but nowadays with the accursed placement all week, that's not an option anymore.

Ah, shame you're not able to make it to the cinema as regularly as you used to be. I always find I prefer movies in the cinema than at home. Weekday afternoons are my cinema times as well. :)

I need to catch up on a few of the summer releases: The Hulk, T3, Charlie's Angels (the 3 films you saw last week, strangely enough!), but I've seen most of the big releases.

Are you going to see The Matrix Revolutions?

Your postiversary is today? Huh... I thought you'd been there longer than I have.

Happy postiversary, then. They should bake a cake. Or something.

Ack. Margaret O'Brien is my favorite part of Meet Me in St. Louis, especially the Halloween scenes and the party scenes. *bap*

*ouch* Hee! :)

Ok, I highly recommend the 1949 version of The Secret Garden. She played the lead role in that, and similarly over-acted for the entire movie. *eg*
