I don't know on the scrolling issue. :( Sorry.

{{{hugs}}} on printer hell. Printers are the work of the devil, I swear.

I think I would've liked Count of Monte Cristo the movie better if I hadn't read the book first. The ending completely changes, and of course, I liked the book one better. *g* But yes, Guy Pearce is awesome. You've seen Memento, right?

Last Picture Show...really really good. I need to see it again, I've forgotten lots of it, except for that it was really good.

Hehe...what difficulty level did you set Deus Ex to? I always do games on easy, cause I hate, you know, dying. Then I replay at higher levels. Also, I have cheats if you want them. *eg* Ricky set me up with all augmentations and weapon upgrades and made me play on "Realistic." I did fairly well, what with the cheating. ;) Ooh, the most useful cheat, though, is how to stack things in your inventory so you can carry everything at once ( ... )

Yup, seen and loved Memento! He's got a lot of diversity - all his roles have been so different. And yup, I definitely need to read the book. I can't think of a single movie I've seen after having read the book, so I've never had that feeling of a movie being a let down from the book.

Thanks for the hugs. :)

My parents are impossible to buy for as well. This time it's ok as far as my mom is concerned, since she needs both a CD player for the car and a mobile phone. But usually, I can never think what to get her. And my dad has like, no interests at all.

Deus Ex - I set it to easy, and I still keep dying. I'm sooo slow with the keyboard, which is the main problem. I'll run out of ammo with one gun, and it'll take me like 20 seconds to look at the number of another weapon, press that on the keyboard, by which time they've killed me. Is there an invincibility cheat? *eg* 'Cause that would help me with my getting killed problem help me get used to the keyboard and speed up my play a bit. :)

Cheats *g* It's complicated to start up cheat mode, so it's easier just to link you to it than to try to explain it. But yes, invincibility would be God-mode. I love God-mode. ;)

You did assign the guns to numbers you could remember, right? Before long I knew what was going to be in every numbered slot, and didn't even have to think about which number to press. Note: unless you have lots of reload upgrades, the sniper rifle and the assault rifle take FOREVER to reload.

Cheers for the tips, will keep those in mind.

And thanks for the cheat site. God-mode sounds like just my thing. :D

I used to have trouble with the older printer, but my mom just bought a new one last year, and it's wonderful.

I may consider buying a new one if the leaking doesn't stop on this one. I don't think they're too expensive or anything, so that does sound like something I ought to do.

Thena again, my brother is considering buying a new PC. So I may wait til then and suggest he gets a printer with it. :)

That sounds like a good idea to wait. :)

Yay for the schedules *g*

My printer refuses to print. It's one of those scheduled-demise things Canon built in, I think. Gives me a lame reason like "Change Yellow" and then I do, and nothing. I miss printing. It sucks having to start another PC just to print something.

Try Tools / Internet Options / Advanced /
UNCHECK Smooth Scrolling.
See if that works?

Sorry that your printer is not working. :( Computery stuff can really be such a pain sometimes can't it.

Thanks! But the smooth scrolling unchecking didn't work. :( I don't understand what could have caused this to happen, as I'm sure none of us that use the PC have changed any settings or anything.

I see my old printer has been resurected half way around the world. Burn it - toxins be damned. It needs to be exorcised completely.

New ones can be gotten fairly cheaply these days. Give it some thought while the other is on fire.

LOL!! Thank you. And yes, burning it would be enormously satisfying. *g*
