Would hate to let a bandwagon pass me by...

From tenik:

I know very little about some of the people on my friends' list. Some people I know relatively well. I read your fic, or we have something else in common and we chat occasionally. Some of you I hardly know at all. Perhaps you lurk, for whatever reason. But you friended me and I thank you ( Read more... )

When I was younger I wanted to be like Where's Wally.
We have the tv-series on tape.

I don't remember him in a TV show. I do remember books where he'd be blended into the background and you'd have to see if you could spot him (that was him, right?) Or am I thinking of someone/thing else? *g*

Yes, that was him. He also had a show. I don't remember it being on tv, but we have the tapes. :)

Was there an element of trying to find him in the show? :)

'Cause that would be neat. :D

When I was younger ...
and someone asked what I wanted to be when I grew up, I'd say "something starting with A" -- meaning actress, astronaut, whatever because I had no idea and wasn't going to decide at age 11 anyway.

Yes, I did read tenik's comment first *g*

Hee! That's a good answer. :D Good way of not limiting your options too much. And if you end up with a career that doesn't start with 'a', you can always get around that by claiming to be a (whatever the job is.) *g*

Hee!

Considering I've been a lawfileclerk, parttimegiftshopclerk, parttimeadmissionsclerk, freelancecameraman, freelancegrip, charactergeneratoroperator, graphicsoperator, mastercontroloperator, trafficassistant, programmingcoordinator, and nonemployed....I, quite arguably, haven't grown up yet.

In the career sense, probably. I think that's what I'll always be like thoughy. I don't, at the moment, know what I want to do as career, and I don't think I ever will. I don't even like the idea of having one career. :)

I suppose with all those things, you've been able to experience all sorts of different jobs with different skills, etc., so you can narrow down the idea of what type of things you most like to do.

1. Pre meds make me violent and i have to be strapped down otherwise i beat up the nurses! Once gave a huge male nurse a black eye and broke the glasses of two others.

2. I have an irrational hatred of people who wear shorts, i don't care what the reason is or what the weather is like! if it's hot wear linen or cotton (or if female a skirt). In fact i just loath shorts in general. Except when swimming..because even more than shorts i hate men in speedos *shudder*! Don't get me started on baseball caps or flip flops or we will be here all day!

3. As a small child i would regularly get Dolly Mixtures stuck up my nose and would have to be taken to the hospital to have them removed.

4. Whenever i loose my glasses i usually find them in the fridge.

Had enough?? *g*

I collect books, tapes, CDs, etc. to learn foreign languages. Supposedly I'm trying to learn Urdu right now, but I'm getting nowhere with it.

Where is Urdu spoken? Best of luck with it by the way! What languages can you speak at the moment?

When I started studying French when I was 11 I liked it so much I decided I wanted to learn lots of languages. Unfortunately, I ended up losing interest for years, and have only really decided I want to learn foreign languages again this year.

Urdu is mostly spoken in Pakistan, and also in India. It's pretty much the same language as Hindi, but there are some vocabulary differences due to religious and cultural influences, as well as different alphabets.

So far I've studied German, Finnish, and Russian. I still have a lot to learn about those languages, too. :)
