Since then, I've read over 100 pages of a book each day, watched on average 2 movies a day, watched loads and loads of TV shows, progressed a heck of a lot through the computer game I'm playing, and still spending the early hours of the morning on the net (until about 3am, usually.)

Okay, how are you getting extra hours in your day, and can I have some? :)

I need to read more Bill Bryson. I read some of Notes from a Small Island, but didn't get all the way through. I just found out the other day that he's written ones called The Mother Tongue and Made in America about the English language in Britain and American, respectively. I really want to read them, what with the whole language-love thing going on. *g*

But baseball is rarely exciting. *ducks from kaymyth* At least, not major league baseball, because the players are all too good, and the pitcher throws so well that the batter can't hit it, and if he does hit it, the basemen and outfielders are so good that they catch it, and he has to stop, and it's exciting for maybe 15 total ( ... )

I'm half with you on baseball. I did get a little excited watching this year's play offs, because my Man United hatred was all transferred to the Yankees, I started to like the Red Sox, so I actually cared about who won each game. But I've always loved softball in school more - lower quality play = more exciting play. :D

Yes, I did see All About Eve. I loved it. And talked about it 3 entries ago. :p (That's when I first saw George Sanders, and became a fan immediately.)

I know what you mean about Psycho. For some reason I'd always had the impression that the shower scene was the absolute end of the movie, so it totally took me by surprise and worked as well as it would have had I not known anything about it.

Jimmy had naming privileges with this kitten, and has called him Charl. Kenny wanted to call him Cloud, but Jimmy had his way this time. *g* Beats "My One" which was his last kitten! So true about the difference between cats and kittens. I love watching the kitten exploring the room for the first time, and his ( ... )

*eyeballs* Baseball is the only sport that matters. :P

I didn't say it didn't matter......I said it wasn't exciting. :p

On the other hand, on some level, does any sport really matter? *ducks and runs from both kaymyth and daps*

But, not quickly enough to avoid the totally deserved *bap* for that.

*bap!!*

It's a fluffy, sometimes wooly thing that is worn on the top, often over a t-shirt. Is so. :p

Oooowchie!!! *sniffle*

No, this thing you speak of is called a sweater. :P

It's only sometimes a sweater. Surely if it's big and wooly and usually worn by people in their 60s or older, it's not still called a sweater, right?

I mean, "wooly sweater"? Doesn't have much of a ring to it.

Sorry. *de-bap* :p (Is that possible? *g*)

I agree with your comments about Psycho. It wasn't a horror movie, but it had great suspense. I loved the way he'd build up one story, then peak, and start over again with the next story line. Each one was a bit creepier.. I also enjoyed the 39 Steps. I thought it was a great movie, one I can watch over and over again.

I hope you had a very happy holiday!! Mine was mostly good with just a few problems (like my mother having back pain so bad she could barely move, me breaking one of her good serving bowls in my rush to get things ready and then last night, my friends getting into a disagreement and me getting pulled into it against my will). Other than that, it was great! :) Seriously, it was overall very nice and these problems will all be resolved soon hopefully. Well, except for the bowl I broke. :( How was your day? Wonderful I hope ( ... )

I think I may have reached spam status on your journal. Sorry! Just two last things then I'm done.

1) What happened to the whining you promised ? It isn't in this post. I want whining!! Seriously. *g*

2) Congrats on the new kitten! I can't wait to see his picture. I'm all ready to do my part of the awww-ing. :)

I'm gonna get this response in now. I fully intend on replying to all of your comments tonight, but in case the mysterious procrastination thingy hits me, at least I'll have got one posted. :)

I looooove my journal being spammed. Really. :) Thank you. :D

LOL, I promised whining? Oops! I remember *planning* to whine. But it's taken me long over a week to type up a journal entry (I wanna get one of those done tonight as well, but have been putting that off as well... so who knows how much longer it'll be!) and now I'm back being really happy (I know, I'm way too back-and-forth!) and it would be absurd of me to whine. *g* Next time I'm moody, I'll be sure to type it up immediately! :D

Thanks for the reminder about the picture. I might buy myself a good digital camera in town tomorrow. I remember being absolutely determined to get pictures of Snoop when he was a puppy (back in August) and I procrastinated about doing it, and now he's all big. I'm determined not to make the same mistake with the kitten. *g*

Gah! I've just read over the post, and I see what you mean now about the whining. What on earth?! I edited the heck out of that post, and I must have tried to select a sentence to delete and ended up deleting the whole paragraph without realising it. No idea when I did that, and how long it's been broken. LOL! Thanks for pointing that out.

Now I need to try and remember what I was in a mood about. *g*

3 replies to one comment. Ok, this is spam. :p

1) The whining is now there in that post, as written back then, but I dropped a tag and it got lost in the post (get it? lost in... never mind *g*). All sorted now! *g* Also, I forgot to mention earlier how much it means to me that you actually want to read my whining. Knowing that there's someone who cares is the most comforting thing in the world. You're the best. :)

2) The kitten is gone! :( I'm totally devastated about this. When I was mentioning earlier to you about getting pictures, I was sure he was in the next room, but it turns out that my brother had given him to another family earlier this afternoon (I slept until 6pm so missed all this) because he gets allergic to cats when they become cats instead of kittens (or, sort of: they make him sneeze.) It's so sad, I miss him loads already. Even sadder, the dogs all really miss him, and it's heartbreaking to see them looking around the house for him and all looking depressed. :(
