Hee! I promise I won't. :)

And I'm sorry I wasn't around to say this at the time, but a massive congratulations on getting married! :) I've just scrolled back through your livejournal now and seen the pictures - looks like it was a really wonderful day, and you both looked great! Congratulations again. :)

Aw, thank you! It was a lovely day, indeed. And I'm glad I have the photos to remember it, as I was in a big daze the whole time!

I'm currently reading Angels And Demons myself. Much less with the rambling monlogues in language that no normal person would use this time; although it's almost exactly the same plot as The Da Vinci Code, isn't it? He gets a call in the middle of the night to go and look at a sinister ritual murder; he meets up with a woman who turns out to be the adopted daughter of the victim; they traverse a series of puzzles and codes to get to the answers they need; and although I'm nowhere near the end yet, I strongly suspect the mastermind behind it all will be The One We Least Suspect.

But the book gets a million bonus points for the line 'He was like Hugh Grant on lithium'. And the fantastic speech by the camerlengo about science vs. religion which reflects everything I think about science, and at the same time proves that science and religion will always be in stalemate - science gives us cures for diseases, television and mass communication but it also gives us weapons of mass destruction and global warming. religion also gives us things ( ... )

Angels And Demons really is so similar to The Da-Vinci Code in structure and plot elements isn't it! I loved all the stuff in it about The Illuminati, and I really enjoyed the exploration of science and religion too (especially the speech you mention.) I won't say much more save spoiling it!

Have you heard about the upcoming movie of the Da Vinci Code? What do you think of Tom Hanks being cast as Robert Langdon?

I think it's the worst piece of casting it has ever been my misfortune to witness. Only George Clooney as Batman was a worse casting decision ( ... )
