But if you don't, dear, confess

I want an Arthur/Eames vid set to Cake's version of Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps. In somewhat related news, I imagine it can be verrry frustrating to work with one single movie as a source?

Aaand that leads nicely to contemplating my fannish state of mind )

Whereas my recent MO resembles having passionate, but brief flings right, left and centre.
I've been struggling with the same thing. Fast & Furious, Pinto, figure skating RPF, AI RPF and now Inception. I'm afraid I'll never have a fandom like SGA again, where I spent four years in. FOUR.

It surprised me how long the list actually was, when I made my mental list! (Merlin, Fast&Furious, Pinto, Kirk/Spock, White Collar, movie verse Sherlock Holmes, Kradam...) I boggle.

I know EXACTLY what you mean. If I put together the years I spent in both SG1 and SGA fandom, that's 8 years! Certainly with ups and downs, but none of my new fandoms have even come close to that. Merlin was getting there, obsession-wise, but S2 made me cool off a little, plus there's the fact that the hiatus is a year, which is never good for fannish productivity.

Area 52, from A - Z! (Well, with frequent use of the back button, but the point stands...) I can hardly imagine it now.

Remember the post The Siege period? Ah, good times.

I TOTALLY know what you mean. I used to stay with stuff for years, and now I'm lucky if it lasts more than a month. Very weird. Maybe it changes again, who knows?

I find it depends a lot on the size of the fandom. I.e. SPN is sticking with me way longer than I thought (I've stopped watching) because a lot of people keep posting good fic.

But at least I don't mind so much anymore that I'm just flitting from one fandom to the next. It has its advantages, too. :)

So you're currently binging on Vampire Diaries? *g*

I remember this poll or meta or some such? That was discussing the various fannish types, from butterfly to turtle? Watch us beating our wings, I guess!

Hmmm, well. Ahem. The binging has moved on to Merlin, actually. *cringe*

I am very much in love with the Vampire Diaries. I think it's the best (full) show I've come across this year. It's just that there's hardly any fic, no long fic at all, and no more canon for me to mainline. So... in love and looking forward to every new episode, but not overdosing.

Merlin, otoh, has TONS of fic, still 20 eps for me to watch, lots of hilarious behind-the-scenes stuff on youtube. And canon that SUCKS. So... I'm enjoying it while I can, and we'll talk again in three weeks or so when I've read half of the stories that have been recced to me and have lost interest in it all. ;)))

*flaps wings madly*
