Ok, so Bonnie was nothing more than a lot of rain with virtually no wind at all. In fact, it's still raining here and has been for most of the last 20 hours

I'm staying up tonight until the 2am updates to see whether or not I need to evacuate my wife and daughter. Even should they evacuate, I'm staying here with the pets and the house since it's not at category 3 strength or more. It sounds silly, but I don't evacuate for a 'mere' category one or two because getting back home after a hurricane is difficult and no home is safe from looting during a big evacuation.
All things considered, it looks like it's going to be just inconvenient rather than truly dangerous. I may or may not be able to get to work tomorrow, since they close the big bridges here to traffic after a certain wind speed. If things even get that messy however, I'll be surprised. Looks like this one is going to largely miss me.
