MASSIVE UPDATE OF EPIC PROPORTIONS!

So things have been really busy/stressful/awesome/exciting lately! I come home in about a week, I had my last class of 2008 today, and I'm feelin' good.

Saturday I went to Tsuruga down in the south of Fukui to take pictures with Grant. I haven't written about Grant here at all, but he's another ALT here in Fukui, and he and I are dating. We've been sorta seeing each other (slash hooking up) on and off since we got here, and in the last few weeks we've made it official. There was some drama, but we've sorted it out and now we're over it. He' 26 and he's from Montana, he lives in the city, he's really good at Japanese and at computer stuff, and he's a huuuuge dork. It's going pretty well so far, we get along well and like to do a lot of the same things (like go on trips around the prefecture to take pictures. his camera is the bombshit.) I have a boyfriend, it's weird. We're not extremely serious at the moment, we're just kind of enjoying ourselves and seeing where it goes.

After photo-ing, I went out to dinner with my friend Hitomi from school. We went to this little mom and pop place in the city and met up with her mom Mitchan and her mom's friend (Keiko I think? I fail at names forever), who turned out to be totally awesome ladies. The owner was hilarious, she kept yelling at me to speak in English, but whenever I did she had no idea what I was saying. It was really good Japanese practice, and it was really nice to try something new with new people.

Sunday was my Katsuyama Gospel Choir concert, which was just ridiculous. We sounded pretty bad, but we had a good time. Daisy and Shogo came, and they totally caught me mouthing along with one of the Japanese songs. In my defense I had only sung through the song twice before the concert, but it was still embarrassing and hilarious. Afterward, Mitchan brought me flowers. This basically made my life. Like, I had met her the *day* before and she brought me flowers. How sweet is that?

This week has been kinda overwhelming. I have a lot to do before I go home like sort out my apartment, pack, help plan a party for Shogo's birthday, finish xmas shopping, and um, learn this dance:
