Charlie's still alive, isn't he? How come I haven't heard anything about him in recent years. He's still gotta be doing silly shit in prison all the time.

in the last decade or so, charlie has been in a protective housing unit at corcoran. (other high profile peeps like sirhan sirhan have the same residence.) charlie has repeatedly been denied things like his mail, guitar, art supplies, etc. for a bunch of reasons and has often been placed in "the hole" for months on end. prison officials say it's for his own safety, but who knows. also, he's getting pretty old (74!) and is rumored to be ill with cancer.
