nah, no worries. I was thinking it would be fun to drop in on a real Jewish community. Taipei is absolutely dismal and I can't stand the Rabbi, so I'd like to go out Friday night. We could do a dinner another time. My family is mostly in the southside, but I do have a cousin out in Kirkland, not too far away from you.
To give you an idea of the non existant Jewish community- Taiwan is an island of roughly 20 million, and on any given Friday night- the only Jewish service in the whole island can barely get a minyan together and the rabbi is a name dropper super elitist. I went 2 weeks in a row and he didn't remember me, because I didn't introduce myself with a business card. Not to mention you can't get ANY kosher meat in Taiwan. You can get Hallal but not Kosher. Needless to say a year of vegetarianism and protein powder=not fun!
I can think of at least two potential options, but it's not really plannable this far ahead. One option depends on whether I'm working or not by that time and the other depends on whether anything is going on that particular Friday. I'll let you know when we get much closer.
