Yes I am! I'll definitely try to drop by - are you doing summer courses?I'll be working as a lab minion at the Montreal General for two months. But first I'll be doing the explore french immersion program...should be fun.
I'll be gone from May 9th-ish to mid or late August, depending on how progress in the lab goes. That just means we will have to have lots of picnics in the first week of May! When do you Queenies finish exams?
I think I'll get by fine but I'm a bit sad to miss out on this year's family vacation.
EXAMS SUCK AND I'M GETTING PWNED but other than that I'm okay. How are things at your end?
Thanks Tina! I'll try to visit once in a while. Are you going to be in Ottawa all summer?
The explore program is basically five weeks of going to one of their many locations and speaking only French. You live with either a host family or in a residence. It's supposed to be intense. You can also get university credit for the courses. What makes it extra awesome is that you can apply for bursaries that pretty much cover all your living expenses and tuition, so all you need to pay for is a deposit and transportation.
I'm okay at French. I will just have to see you in June then, since I'm away for most of August.
And I'm sorry about the dumb people on the facebook groups! Hopefully they are just nervous and trying to make a good impression on their future shadmates.

I'll let you know how it goes, but from what I've heard it's an awesome experience.

You're pretty adventurous, because I know I'd be really intimidated to try something like this.
I'm in Ottawa in August. July is Shad :D
P.S. The people on the facebook Shad2008 groups disappoint me... They're all so cocky and condescending and dumb. :(
