Studying/The Truth

I just had my phone interview for "The Truth" - a non-profit U.S. organization that is responsible for numerous anti-smoking marketing campaigns geared towards youth. man, no kidding, eh?! I guess we'll see. I mean, there's no point in getting my hopes up yet but I can't help but feel excited - as I have an overactive imagination.

I wanted to apply for that REALLY badly, but my computer refused to load the application page.
I totally would have quit smoking, for a chance to travel with Warped Tour all summer.

Fuck.

Actually...I should check it out and see if they're still doig interviews. I don't think the deadline is for a few days, is it?

I'm pretty sure that even though there were questions like, "have you ever smoked?" - "how long have you smoked?" - "have you tried to quit?" etc... they didn't hold that against you...

And after I checked out the website yesterday more thoroughly after being notified... I think the deadline for applications was yesterday (April 12) at 2pm... they called me at 4pm saying I made it to the next round (ie: today)... which leads me to believe that (a) they're letting a lot of people get the phone interviews; (b) they didn't receive that many applications, or; (c) they actually liked my online application.

Balls.

Good luck though. If you get it I will live vicariously through you for the summer. Because I will also become telepathic and know how awesome a time you're having.

it's true! We've had this conversation many times before and we always come to the same conclusion! I KNOW I'm not going to use this information in any meaningful fashion once I graduate so what's the point? Maybe to impress someone at an interview, but that's about it. Other than that, it's all about on-the-job skills you learn or practical skills you pick just by working. Like how to appear sexy to earn more tips waitressing while not being overly slutty, eh Danielle? ;)
