Have given up on NaNo but started the much higher quality second draft of my story. My plan is to spend lots of time writing it at the Aspendale Gardens rehearsal and the dress rehearsal, since seniors have to be there from 9-5 and I'm only in 3 dances (although I get a line this year, and a dramatic cape ( Read more... ) -

Falling behind in NaNo due to being extremely tired...I was 300 words behind by the end of Sunday, now I'm about 1767 words behind or thereabouts, because frankly between work and ballet yesterday, I really didn't have my brain in the right gear to concentrate. Staying up late to get ready for night shift again. It's the busy-ish time of year.
-Had interview for post-grad but won't hear back for a little while yet (I'm not bothered either way tbh)
-Ballet concert! This year the theme is 'Mad Hatter'
-Oh god NaNo starts in just over a week

I wish I was still on holidays. We had such a great time and got on so well with our fellow-travellers. Lots of in jokes and beer and amazing sights and things. Before we left Moscow on that last rainy day we had already started to plan our next trip, which I'm thinking might have to be in 2012 at this rate (but we'll see how the post-grad thing ( Read more... ) -

This time next week we'll be in Beijing! I'm so excited at the moment, but also kind of nervous. It's going to be an amazing adventure-type thing.
Edit: Just realised I also now have about 4 days to apply for postgrad study for next year because applications close on the day we get back to Australia. Champion. -

We went for a walk to Forest Hill to get bread and were greeted by the sight of Liberal and Greens volunteers jumping around trying to engage voters. So, bravely entering the fray, we were quickly handed a leaflet from the Greens guy,and exchanged pleasantries very briefly- something along the lines of him saying it's hard to believe in global ( Read more... ) -

Did my tax, got an injection in each arm, went for a walk, cooked some lunch.
Went to ballet, came home, went into the city.
Half price pizza and beer, catching up with old friend.
Go home, True Blood.
Awesome.
