::taps his fingers on the desk at work while his eyes gaze absently at the clock on the wall:: When Stef gave me a guest signup to this journal service those years ago, I resolved to myself that this internet journal would be - in fact - an actual journal. *snugs* you are SO not emo... (I hope I wasn't the reason you said that...the people I complain about are bitching that the sun didn't shine between certain hours for them, or something stupid and non-important, and they do it EVERY day...)

It's really and truly not good to bottle things up all the time...you should vent and let it all out ^_^, and I'll always read your posts, just as I always have hon^^

be good, and take care of yourself ^^

LJ is for whining! That is its sole purpose. ^_~ Seriously, though, ranting can be cathartic. Kind of like when someone asks you how you are, you jokingly blurt out, "Well, I think I'm about to QUIT MY JOB." Then it smacks you in the face -- wow! That IS what's going on. That IS what I need to do. Thank you, Power of Blurt! (this happened/is currently unfolding for a coworker of mine)

Allow yourself to spew out that angsty/angry/upset stuff in its pure form, without letting the Internal Editor tweak it, remove the obscenities, fill in the logic gaps, force it to make sense. It'll be a much better reflection of how you're feeling and when you re-read it in a calmer mindset, you may realize that some suprisingly obvious solution to your woes is jumping off of the page/screen at you. And Blair is totally right - it IS your space and if people don't want to read emo (and you're probably not even all that emo), then they can scroll past it.
