I had originally intended to make a full update/rant on the horror that was Otakon 2k6 when I had returned to NY on Monday... but being that I'm frankly tired of repeating the long tale - I'll suffice with the reader's digest version, then move on

1. It sounds like they should have paid you for babysitting fees to boot. :P
Friends don't pressure friends to do something that 1. they don't want to do 2. costs way too much 3. and then back out of paying for stuff. >.> Next time you may want to use the line "when hell freezes over" to solidify a "no" answer if they just aren't getting it. You're too nice sometimes hun. *hugs*

3. "The One Being Sung" is sooo good. Plot, character development, awesome costumes, and girls with tails and wings. <3 <3 <3 <3

Oh, and i'm serious about the "when hell freezes over" bit. Sometime people don't get the "i'm low on cash", "don't want to", etc excuses/reason because the belief "it's be fun!" and "he needs a break" overrides their thinking. :/ Sometimes by jokingly exaggerating the situation by denying-any-possibility of doing something will get the point across when other things have failed.

But then.. at least it's overwith and you can resume normal life. Hopefully it wasn't all bad, like cute girls and good anime. But it does bite that it wasn't the normal carefree Otakon of the past. :< The term "carefree" being used loosely, hehehe. XD
