Charter Communications, in its brilliance, "turned off" mine and roxana's internet service a week early (part of our next-week move to Asheville), and it seems that said service can't simply be switched back on. Thus, I won't have more than spotty internet access at best for the next week or so

The wife and I get to overnight tomorrow in Rome . . . GA, that is, and the in-laws, Lawd bless 'em, are keeping Thing 1 and Thing 2. Still, I'll be without teh intarwebs for two whole days. Maybe it'll be a good thing, but still it's a called a getaway for a reason . . .
