I broke out my copy of Reader's Digest Back to Basics. Looking into the root cellar thingy.
A few days ago, my in-laws came over, and we were talking on the front porch--that most Southern of gathering places, and my father-in-law and I concluded that, yes, in our farming community we'd be better off than most if the seventh seal were cracked open and TEOTWAWKI came to pass.
I also can get my hands on those old Foxfire books. Hmmmmmmm.

The Foxfire books are awesome. We hat quite a few of them at the used bookstore where I work, but they all sold within a day of that first 700+ drop in the DOW.
glad you "apocalypsos" are getting prepared with shelter, food, and drink. Us "non-apocalypsos" are going to need a place to stay and drink and grub when it all goes down. :)
