Drabble-ish types almost bordering onto vignettes. Apparently, boredom can work miracles.
Crush
Sho/Jun
Jun has gotten over his childhood man-crush on Sho.
At least, that's what he thinks.
But there are still butterflies in his stomach when Sho pats him on the shoulder after a day's good work. There's still that smile he can't restrain when Sho compliments him. There's still that giggle he can't suppress when Sho is playful.
Yep, Jun thinks. He's gotten over his crush on Sho.
Treat
Nino/Sho
I want a burger. Sho-chan, let's go out for dinner.
Your treat?
Duh.
...and by 'duh' you mean you're paying this time?
Nino just rolls his eyes and Sho snickers. Come on.
Dork
Aiba/Jun
Aiba likes dorky-Jun. So he tries, as much as possible, to 'let dorky-Jun out.' Even if he's often labeled as the dork instead. Everything just to see Jun smile with teeth bared, and hear him laugh like he meant it.
Maa maa, he smiles. What the years do to us...
Dance
Ohno/Sho
Sho was having trouble catching up with the routine, and Ohno watched him from the floor. He wanted to approach the other but decided against himself that he'll let Sho figure things out on his own.
Sho sighed and wiped his forehead with the towel that was hanging around his shoulders.
"Hey, you want some?"
He looked to his side and took the offered onigiri. "Thanks."
Meat
Sho/Aiba
"I want yakiniku."
"I'm tired, Sho-chan. Go with leader."
Sho insisted. "I want yakiniku right now."
Aiba groaned. "Mou, Sho-chan~ Why now?"
"I'm hungry," he replied nonchalantly.
Aiba frowned deeply from the other side of the phone line. "Seriously, Sho-chan. What time is it?"
He waited for an answer but got none; he sighed. "Thanks for that. Thanks for sleeping in on me."
It was 3:46 in the morning.
Quality Time
Ohno/Nino
Nino was definitely not enjoying himself.
How is it that he only wanted to spend quality time with Ohno and it turned out like this? He was hunched over the corner and had to cover up his mouth... wait, now he just had to...
Ohno rubbed his back sympathetically as he threw up over the boat. He'll never get on another boat again. And to think he went onto this trip voluntarily.
He realized why Ohno never really bothered inviting him to go fishing. Ohno knew.
Watermelon
Aiba/Ohno
But I like watermelons. They're juicy and fun to eat during the summer.
すいか.
Say 'watermelon.'
Wo-ta-me-ron.
Good. Here, have a piece, leader. Ohno opens his mouth all too willingly.
Strike
Aiba/Nino
They always played baseball whenever the time permitted them to do so. Over the years, however, it would seem that they barely even saw each other much less play baseball together.
"I don't think my back would allow me, Aiba-chan."
Aiba frowned. "Please? Just this once."
"Maybe next time. It really hurts," Nino winced as he rubbed his lower back.
"Soon."
"Yes, soon. I promise." And when Nino made promises, he meant serious business.
Tuna
Ohno/Jun
It is a wet Saturday morning and Jun has his head on Ohno's lap as Ohno reads a fishing magazine.
"Leader, what's so interesting in... fishing?"
Ohno shrugs. "I don't know. Maybe Jun-kun should try it out. Would you want to -"
Before he can even finish what he is saying, Jun cuts him off. "What is leader's favorite fish?"
"Tuna."
"Why tuna?" Jun asks.
"I love tuna." Jun nods and tries to get Ohno's magazine.
Ohno acquaints his hands with Jun's hair. Jun hums appreciatively. "Jun is like tuna."
Mirror
Nino/Jun
Nino would like to think that he was like Jun.
He wasn't as hard-working as Jun though. He wasn't as meticulous as Jun was. Instead, he wanted to become like Jun. Jun was polite. Jun likes to smile. Jun liked Nino.
Nino hoped he could like himself too.
Jun was a kind person.
