And a Happy Juneteenth to the rest of you!

I find it very appropriate that James' birthday falls on a holiday that is a portmanteau (or wordbine, the term he coined), because he LOVES portmanteaux like you wouldn't believe.

You know, I found myself thinking about Juneteenth today, without even realizing that it was happening. As I contemplated the belated emancipation of Texan slaves, I typed the term into wikipedia, and was startled to be reminded of the date, as well as of the meaning of "portmanteau".
