Sammy and Zapata

I don't post here often anymore, and I come bearing sad news. We just found out that our two year-old dog, Sammy, the Goldendoodle, has lymphoma. After a difficult decision, we've decided not to do chemo, for many reasons. He's acting like himself right now with the medication he's on, but his prognosis is 2-6 months (2-12 if we were to put him ( Read more... )

I'm sorry to hear about Sammy. We're all thinking of you.

There's nothing cheesy about celebrating the ones you love. Heck, the bug scene alone was worth the price of admission.

Oh man, I'm not a pet person in the slightest, and that video made me all happy (for the cuteness) and sad (for the loss you're facing). It's a lovely tribute, and I hope Sammy eventually kicked that beetle's ass.

Even better- they became the best of friends.

Well, not really. After Sammy knocked it out of his field of vision, he got bored and went off and the beetle walked away.

So that's probably a win for Sammy.

Thanks, and yeah, the cheesiness I was getting at was the sped-up old-timey effects put to a Regina Spektor song. The dogs themselves rule.
