I called my father this morning to tell him my oldest son was planning to spend some time with him. My stepmother answered the phone. Things didn't sound right and I soon learned why. The neighborhood I live in has tennis courts, a basketball court and a swimming pool. This is all community property. I own it, my neighbor owns it, everyone in the neighborhood owns a piece of this and we pay yearly dues to a homeowner's association to maintain this property.
