I can feel that way about graveyards too. But I have a very hard time visiting my dad's grave. It just feels creepy to me. I can't talk to a gravestone like I could talk to him as a person. It just reminds me of that song from Phantom of the Opera:
"Passing bells and sculpted angels, cold and monumental Seem for you the wrong companion, you were warm and gentle"
If I might ask, how do you feel about visiting your father's grave site?
I haven't been in years, life has taken me away from that, and I've been gaining the acceptance of it on my own.
Also, for me, the gravestone for my father is, quite literally, just a marker. My father was cremated and his ashes scattered. We had the stone put down for us to have a place to go, should we need it.
I've actually only visited it two or three times since he passed.
