Dinnertime: #42 Blueberry Hill: Monday evening [8-27-07]
Lana made a couple of stops on the way home to pick up various things she'd need for tonight. She discovered Millie in the back garden and recruited her to help get dinner ready, finding the girl as sweet as Sam had said she was.
There was no way to tell if Dean had ever found Mercedes, but she assumed they'd both show up at some point and planned dinner accordingly - ziti with sausage and chicken parmigiana. It was easy enough to do everything except actually cook the pasta and thinly pounded chicken and just take care of those 15 minutes before the meal. That way whenever they showed up dinner could be ready quickly.
She put the photos Sam had brought her into frames and wrapped them, setting them off to the side for a quiet moment with Dean - assuming he was still talking to her after whatever it was that had happened at the Leaf.
Then she coaxed Millie into sitting out on the front porch with iced tea to enjoy the last of the sunlight.
