So this is what's been happening. I've recently been reading Shadowjack's other 'Where I Watch', of Neon Genesis Evangelion. NGE, also known as EVA, is an anime classic and also one hell of a ride.

Angelo clung tightly to his sister's hand, seeing, for the first time, a Nephil do battle.

They handn't meant to witness the fight; it had just suddenly dropped in on them -- literally. Only Conchita's quick reflexes had saved Angelo from getting his neck broken.

The Nephil looked just like a woman, but her eyes glowed red as she danced in and out of her opponent's range.

Her opponent would live in Angelo's nightmares for some time.

Triple-headed, with four eyes on each head and more wings than limbs, Angelo was struck by the creature's terrible beauty. The fight seemed hopeless for the Nephil, whose left arm hung limp and who left bloody footprints with every step.

(Was that silver stuff blood? Did Nephilim even bleed?)

A strong kick threw the Nephil into a telephone pole hard enough to knock it over. The live wires, torn from their moorings, could have killed both Angelo and Conchita, but the terrible creature was beside them, all seven wings curving around brother
