So, the duplex I am living in at Houghton is about halfway up a really steep hill, at the bottom is the busiest road in town - College Avenue. Today I was driving down it, and haven't had too many problems in the past, but with about half a block to go I realized I wasn't going to be able to stop... I've always thought those hills would suck in the winter. I'm glad to hear that both you and your car survived this close call and I hope that it is the last :)

They aren't bad when there is enough dirt tossed on top of them, guess the dirt trucks didn't make it around to the hill yet today and thanks :) .

I know plenty of roads up there that are like that. Usually going down hill isn't as bad as going up. Either way I don't recommend trying that and i really don't suggest you try it in an office chair. Yes there is a story there and it stated near the forestry center.

Haha, I think I know which road you're talking about. And yeah, there is a reason why there are no stop signs for going up hill on the roads in Houghton.
