Hand to hand combat will do you no good against the crabs, because you will risk getting bitten or scratched, and consequently, infected. As for your magic, that would depend on how powerful it is.

Sir, you underestimate moi's prowess as a fighter. I should think I would be able to handle at least a couple of these creatures on my own. As for magic, I have not yet had a chance to test it out. I should hope it not too terribly impaired...
