Summary: If Morag hadn't given in to Draco's distress when his best friend disappeared and revealed herself.

Draco had nearly thrown her out when he realised Morag had disappeared. She was a little shocked that he didn't, but glad for it. She stayed with him, and she could tell right away that Astoria didn't like her, especially curled up on Draco's lap.

The first night she came to his bed, she hid in the closet and cried, but even that couldn't hide the noises, and it made her heart ache and her claws curl into the pads of her paws. The next day she slunk around as if she had been hit, but it hurt worse than that.

The second night she escaped downstairs, spending the time ling around miserably by Narcissa's chair in the parlour, making odd little sad sounds now and then. she was aware that Narcissa gave her an odd look, before daring to pet her for a moment. The pity did not help.

It was just too bad she was so emotionally involved, too bad that Draco had abandoned her in favour of Astoria, had taken the blonde Greengrass twit to his bed instead of her when she had been by his side for so long.

Somehow, she started to waste away, and Gimme noticed how her fish began to be not as touched and she got thinner. Draco got worried, by he was too busy tied up in his new wife.

About a month in, she couldn't handle it anymore, and while Draco and Astoria were together in bed, fast asleep, she slid into the bathroom, and jumped into the tub, whose magical charms kicked in and the water began to flow. By the time the water shut itself off, her smaller body was floating and she no longer wanted to fight, letting herself slide under the water.

When Astoria woke in the morning and went to take a bath, she screamed. There, somehow mysteriously floating in her bathtub was a dark-haired woman, a orange and red silk sundress billowing out from around her body, and sticking to her legs. Her dragonhide boots were waterlogged and ruined, and she had an odd collar around her neck.

"Draco!" She screamed.

Scrawled in lipstick on the mirror was a note--'I'm sorry, I never meant to hurt you.'
